The Burns Supper takes place on the Saturday nearest to Robert Burns Birthday - the 25th January. It is the biggest event in our social calendar and attracts a full house of over 160 Masons, their partners and their friends. The highlights are the Address to the Haggis, the speech and Toast to the Immortal Memory of the poet, the Toast to the Lasses which points out the shortcomings of women in a light hearted way, followed by a response from one of the ladies who usually have no trouble identifying the even bigger shortcomings of their men.The evening includes musical interludes, ending with the singing of 'The Star of Robbie Burns' which ends with a Toast to Burns by all the gentlemen stood on top of the tables.
